Editing & Proofreading

The translation process traditionally consists of three stages:

  1. Translation: translating the text from one language to another.
  2. Editing: going through and comparing both source and target texts in order to make the translation more accurate, consistent and natural.
  3. Proofreading: working with the target text only to find and correct any grammar, spelling or punctuation errors.

While it’s arguably not always necessary that a translation be reviewed by another person, it almost always results in a better text – which is particularly important if you plan to publish it in a marketing context, as a news article or in any other high-exposure publication.

I only offer editing and proofreading services in German.
